Hi, I'm Shirley, a born and bred Midwestern gal transplanted to New York State in 1978. Not the city...the state. Upstate, where there are mountains, streams and trees. A very beautiful place. I'm retired from a men's prison where I wore business clothes and high heels every day...now I spend my time in jeans and I love it. Some days I don't even wear shoes. And I've discovered a love for cooking and gardening, now that I have the time. I grow my own herbs and am currently developing a family cookbook. Developing it slowly, but developing it none the less. I have 5 children and 5 grandchildren scattered around the country. And an 88 year old mother who is in the early stages of Alziemer's. Needless to say, I'm in the air a lot traveling around to visit everyone. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, crocheting, antiquing and spending time with my significant other. Thanks for allowing me to share my life with you.
